ARTISTS IN RESIDENCE

The Arts Alliance continued the ARTIST IN RESIDENCE project again in 2008 at Sagle Elementary School.  Quilter Terrie Kralik, of Moose Country Quilts, worked with students in third and fifth grades.  Students learned the techniques and traditions of quilting, and viewed a quilt exhibit at Northern Lights Utility Company.  Thanks to the Sagle PTA, the Charlotte Martin Foundation and the JA and Kathryn Albertson Fund in the Idaho Community Foundation for supporting this project.

In 2006-07, the Arts Alliance placed Diana Schuppel at Sandpoint Charter School.  Through this cooperative project, middle school students created historical murals based on Ross Hall photographs.  The finished murals are now on display at the Sandpoint Post Office.  Thanks to Dann Hall from the Hallans Gallery for providing historical Ross Hall photographic images for the project.  Also thanks to Morgan Krajczar, Art Teacher, and Alan Millar, Principal at Sandpoint Charter School for their efforts.
